Civil Court Fees to increase on 4th April 2011

The Lord Chancellor has announced an increase in civil court fees which come into force on the 4 April 2011.

The lowest fee for claims up to £300 will rise £5 to £35, an increase of 16%, and the highest fee for claims over £300,000 will rise £140 an increase of more than 9% to £1670.00. The increases are across the board including transfers from the County Court to the High Court for enforcement. The last increase in fees took place in July 2009.

The new County Court Fees to issue Claim Forms are now as follows :

Judges Demand do not add any administration fees when we are instructed to issue legal proceedings so when our Clients instruct us to issue legal proceedings on their behalf the only fee that we request is the Court Fee as shown in the table above.
