Judges Demand

Judge’s Demand first step with Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)

Published On: 21st November 2013

On 1st April 2014, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) will take over legislation of consumer credit from the Office of Fair Trading (OFT). As a result, all Consumer Credit Licences issued by the OFT will expire at the end of March 2014.

We are proud to report that Judge’s Demand has taken its first step with this change and have successfully registered for ‘Interim Permission’. This permission enables us to carry out consumer credit-related business after March 2014.

It is imperative that all companies conducting credit-related business register for Interim Permission as they will no longer be able to legally continue with credit-related activities from 1st April 2014.
