Judges Demand

£22,000.00 Settlement Agreed and Paid

Published On: 20th June 2014

We can report that we have successfully recovered £22,000.00 from a Limited Company on behalf of a Building Contractor in relation to products and services supplied by our Client.

We made direct contact with the debtor and supplied them with full evidence of the claim and outlined our Clients intentions to pursue this matter further if necessary, the debtor claimed the balance was in dispute and had evidence to support there claim. We requested the debtor supply us with there full detailed dispute in writing with supporting evidence however, after 2 requests we failed to receive any dispute or evidence from them.

We were instructed to proceed with Winging Up Proceedings against them and our first step was to instruct a Licenced Process Server to attend the debtor address and serve a Statutory Demand for a total amount of £26,000.00, the debtor had 21 days to pay in full or 18 days to file a dispute.

Shortly after this was served on the debtor we received a letter outlining the debtors full dispute with supporting evidence and an offer of £22,000.00 in full and final settlement.

We discussed this in great detail with our Client and as the matter had been outstanding for over 9 months prior to our instruction the Client agreed to accept the settlement offer to save any further costs being incurred.

Our Client is extremely pleased with the settlement as all our Clients requests for payment were ignored prior to our instruction.
