£6,500.00 Recovered for Bathroom Installer

Published On: 7th November 2014

We can report that we have successfully recovered £6,500.00 from a Limited company on behalf of a Bathroom Installer in relation to a Housing Project.

We made direct contact with the debtor and supplied them with full evidence of the claim and outlined our Clients intentions to pursue this matter further if necessary, the debtor claimed the matter was fully disputed and no funds were due to our Client.

We attempted to use our dispute resolution service in order to resolve the matter however, this failed even though our Client had sufficient evidence to support his claim.

We were instructed to proceed with County Court Proceedings, the debtor defended the claim and lodged a defence with the Court.

We received a copy of the debtors defence and we also received correspondence from the debtors Solicitor who had now been instructed.

Initially, the Solicitor claimed that no monies were due to our Client and that no offer for settlement would be made.

We supplied our supporting evidence to the debtor solicitor and received a settlement offer by return of £1,500.00 which our Client rejected, a further offer of £4,000.00 was then offered but again our Client rejected the offer.

Shortly before the hearing was due to take place we received one final offer from the debtors Solicitor of £6,500.00, our Client decided to accept this proposal and the funds have now been received.

Our Client is extremely pleased with the outcome as the original debt was just under £9,000.00 and payment has been transferred to them.
