Late payment costs recovered following County Court Proceedings

Published On: 26th July 2016

We are pleased to report that we have today recovered £1,020.00 from a Limited company in relation to outstanding late payment cost as per The Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

We made direct contact with the debtor and supplied them with full evidence of the claim and outlined our Clients intentions to pursue this matter further if necessary.

The debtor made direct payment in to our Clients account for the original invoice value but failed to pay the late payment costs (interest, compensation and reasonable debt recovery costs).

The debtor claimed such costs were not due even after us supplying the legislation to them.

We commenced County Court Proceedings and we were successful in obtaining Judgment.

Full payment has now been received for all late payment costs and the court fee.
